Hello,

a bit about me:

Professional Philosophy

I believe that librarians are born, not made, and have an ingrained need to help others. Librarians are educators.  I believe that there needs to be a free flow of information for everyone who seeks it regardless of their age, race, ability, or financial status. Everyone deserves the right to "know" if they so desire to do so.

We have all heard the expression "ignorance is bliss" so many times and it couldn't be any further from the truth. Ignorance is the leading cause of racism, hatred, violence, disease, and even death. Ignorance is a virus. Knowledge is an antiseptic. My goal is help spread knowledge to all who seek it.

Libraries are valuable community resources, responsible for disseminating knowledge and helping to educate the population. This is why I chose to spend my professional life working in the library sciences.
